Most water damages are the result of; a broken or improperly connected pipe, a ruptured water or ice maker line, a breached roof, HVAC malfunction, sprinkler damage, outside ground water, over flowing rivers or sewerage back flow. Of particular danger are sewerage-related cases. Sewerage back flows are rated as a Category 3 (black water) situation by the Institute of Cleaning and Restoration.

Variances in the signal strength are converted into analog values on a visual scale, alerting our restoration specialists to the presence of water.
